Description
The U.S. House of Representatives is interested in acquiring the services of a contractor to provide Temporary Staffing Services for the 109th Congress Transition. The contractor will be required to provide logistics and distribution support in completing office moves associated with the 109th Congressional Transition and to clear the backlog of requests accumulated during the transition. The bulk of the support will be through the transition period (November 1, 2004 through January 7, 2005). Continuing support to address accumulated backlog issues could extend through September 30, 2005. The contractor is to provide experienced laborers who are capable of lifting, relocating, and placing furniture, office equipment, and other items of at least forty pounds (40 lbs.) to facilitate the 109th Congressional Transition. During the bulk period the contractor should be able to provide anywhere from ten (10) to seventy (70) employees on a daily basis. Variable work schedules will be required, spanning six days a week (Monday through Saturday) and Sunday hours may be scheduled on an as needed basis. The successful offeror shall provide comprehensive services and staff to encompass all aspects of the project. Interested parties can obtain a copy of this RFP by accessing the above website. Questions relating to this RFP Solicitation shall be submitted in writing to Emily Tuck at the above e-mail address. Questions will be received until 2:00pm Eastern Time on August 4, 2004. Written responses to all questions will be provided to all potential contractors of record in the form of an Amendment to the solicitation. No verbal telephone requests for the solicitation package will be honored.
