- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. In addition, this procurement will be conducted in accordance with the procedures in FAR Part 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ) and is unrestricted. The RFQ number is SSA-RFQ-04-0511. The RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through FAC 2001-24. The associated NAICS code is 443130 and the small business size standard is $6.0 million. The requirement is as follows: 1). Two Sony XDCAM Camcorder (MPEG IMX/DVCAM) PDW530, 2). Two Sony cases LCDNW7, 3). Two Sony Tripod Adapters VCT14, 4). One Sony XDCAM Compact Deck PDW1500, 5). One Fujinon lens16:9/4:3 switchable A17X7.8 Derm and 6). One Panasonic DVCPRO Recorder AJD250. Delivery shall be FOB destination to Falls Church, Virginia and shall not be later than 15 days after award date. The contractor shall provide a quotation for the brand name or an equal. If an equal is quoted it must be capable of connecting to and be controlled by an Avid Media Composer Adrenaline system. It must be supported by Avid driver and documentation must be included with the quote addressing the capability of the equal in comparison to the brand name. This will be a firm fixed price purchase order. The government reserves the right to award the purchase order resulting from this combined synopsis/solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer is conforming to this synopsis/solicitation and will offeror the best value to the government, price and other factors considered. Quotations will be evaluated in accordance with FAR 13.106-2 Evaluation of Quotations or Offerors. Award will be made based on all or none and the contractor?s (a) technical capability of the items being offered to meet the government requirements, (b) price and (c) delivery schedule. Quotes shall address all requirements in this combined/synopsis/solicitation, and shall include all the documentation listed. The government reserves the right to award a purchase order without discussions. All interested, responsible vendors should submit their quotation no later than August 2, 2004, 9:00 a.m. EST.
