- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation FA4620-04-Q-B025 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-24. The associated NAICS code is 423120 with a size standard of 500 Employees. The resulting purchase order shall be firm-fixed-price. The Government intends to contract on a sole source basis with AAR-ATICS, 5239 Luce Avenue, Bldg 243D, McClellan CA, 95652, to purchase AAR-ATICS Spider Box Kit (PN 50411-073 and Spare Parts Kit ( PN 50384208-001) to support the Air Force Survival School Mobile Command Post. AAR-ATICS was the designer and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Mobile Command Post (MCP). The spare and replacement parts of this MCP are specifically made by AAR-ATICS and are essential to maintain the life of the system, and the upgrades are designed to match and be compatible with the current system. Because the Survival School's MCP was built and purchased from AAR-ATICS, and to ensure system compatibility, the spare parts must match the existing parts. Delivery is required no later than 30 days from date of contract award. Note: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by the quotation due date. A determination by the Government to compete this requirement will be based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Proposals must clearly delineate the capability to successfully provide, install and integrate the new systems into the existing system at a fair and reasonable price.
