- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotations are being requested not later than 9 Aug 04. This solicitation FA4620-04-Q-B024 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-24. The associated NAICS code is 561621 with a size standard of $10,500,000. The resulting purchase order shall be firm-fixed-price. The Government intends to contract on a sole source basis with VidTek Associates, Inc., 846 Stewart Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94085 to provide and install a digital recording library and a public address system to augment the existing audio-visual (AV) monitoring system located in the 22nd Training Squadron Resistance Training Facility at Fairchild Air Force Base, WA. This is a follow-on procurement to a prior competitive award to VidTek. Delivery is required no later than 45 days from date of contract award. Contractor is to provide, install and integrate a digital recording library and a public address system into an existing audio-visual monitoring system in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. The Statement of Work and additional clauses attached to this synopsis/solicitation are applicable to this procurement and will be incorporated into any resultant purchase order. Note: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by the quotation due date. A determination by the Government to compete this requirement will be based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Proposals must clearly delineate the capability to successfully provide, install and integrate the new systems into the existing system at a fair and reasonable price.
