Description
WA PFH 158-1(5), FLOWERY TRAIL ROAD, Colville National Forest, Stevens County, Washington. THIS SOLICITATION IS OFFERED FOR FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. THIS WORK CONSISTS OF: 7.975 km of grading, drainage, base, asphalt concrete pavement, and new signing and striping. THE PROJECT INCLUDES construction survey & staking; contractor sampling & testing; construction schedules; monuments & markers; water system, irrigation service valve, and drain sump relocate; Erosion Control devices: 4,500 m silt fence; 250 m brush barriers; 100 ea straw bales; 100 su soil stabilization; 15,000 m3 watering for dust control; 25.276 ha (CQ) clearing and grubbing; Removal of 45 ea sign/markers; removal of 5 ea gates; removal of 2,700 m of fence; removal of 6,650m temporary erosion control measures; Excavation & Embankment: 312,000 m3 excavation; 5,000 m3 of subexcavation; 6,500 m3 select borrow; 21,367 m3 select topping; 5 ea boulders; 11,710 m2 (CQ) roadway obliteration; 7,450 m3 placed riprap, class 2, rock armor: 7,000 m riprap lined ditch, type 1; 500 m riprap lined ditch, type 2; 1 ea culvert outlet control system; 140.0 m2 energy dissipater; 396.0 m2 MSE retaining walls; 2,400 t aggregate base grading D; 4,000 t aggregate surface course; 22,000 t emulsified asphalt treated aggregate base, grading D; 215 t emulsified asphalt grade CSS-1; 17,600 t hot asphalt concrete pavement; 1,035 t asphalt cement grade SHRP PG 58-34; 175.0 t mineral filler(hydrated lime); 5 t minor hot asphalt concrete; 30.0 t asphalt tack coat; 20 m3 minor concrete structures; Culverts & Drains: 650.0 m 450 mm pipe culvert; 800.0 m of 600 mm pipe culvert; 145.0 m 900 mm pipe culvert; 23.4 m of 24000 mm span, 2400 mm rise precast rbc; 2 ea end section for precast rbc; 4 ea of 1200 mm sanitary sewer manhole; 200 m of 200 mm collector pipe; 50 m of 200 mm outlet pipe; 1.0 m2 paved waterway type V, curb outlet; 90.0 m of Portland cement concrete curb, 75 mm depth; 30 m of Portland cement concrete curb and gutter, 300 mm depth; 1m of 100 mm PVC waterline; 441m of 200 mm PVC waterline; 5m of 150 mm ductile iron waterline; 3 ea fire hydrant assembly; 4 ea 200 mm gate valves; 2 each water meters; 92m of 25 mm HDPE service pipe; 17m of 50 mm HDPE service pipe; Sewer Systems: 19 m of 150 mm PVC pipe; 60m of 200 mm PVC pipe; 270m of 250 mm PVC pipe; 2,150.0m guardrail system G4, type I, class A (wood posts); 100.00 guardrail system CRT, type I, class A; 5 ea terminal section type CRT; 17 ea terminal section type flared; 2,800m fence, wire, type 2; 2 ea gate, type 2, 3.6 m width; 4 ea gate, type 2, 5.5m width; 14,500 ha topsoil; 170.00 su turf establishment; 7,500 m2 turf establishment; 30.00 m2 sign installation; 280 ea delineators, type CC-3; 50 ea delineators, type CC-4, 130 ea delineators, type DD-3, 10 ea removing and resetting signs; 5,500 m pavement markings type B, broken yellow; 24,950 m pavement markings, solid yellow; 31,950 m pavement markings, type B, solid white; Temporary Traffic Control: 40 ea temporary traffic control; 15 ea traffic control (flaggers & pilot cars); 300 ea barricade type 1; 120.00 m2 barricade type III (2.4 meter); 115.00 m2 cone type 1050mm tubular; 50 ea construction signs, 1000 ea construction signs(Government furnished); 15,500 m drum type I meter; 100 ea moving temporary concrete barrier (Government furnished); 200 day temporary pavement markings. 9,000 flagger hours; 3,200 pilot car hours; 60 m3 streambed material; and other smaller items of work. PROJECT IS LOCATED approximately 1 km east of Chewelah, Washington. Work shall be completed by August 22, 2006. Estimated PRICE RANGE is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT?s Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at prime rate, as published daily in the Wall Street Journal, plus 1.75 percent.
