Description

The U. S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Environmental Technology Laboratory (ETL) has a requirement for a two stage coherent up/down converter between 60 MHz, 2.16 GHz and 94.56 GHz to be used in a W band pulsed Doppler radar system for use in climate research. We require the converter to have proven demonstration capability, meaning the proposal must include a list of delivered products that are similar in nature, and a list of customer references. This procurement is set aside for small business unless small business cannot meet the Government's need at a fair and reasonable price. The award decision will be based upon the best value to the Government using technical merit, proven performance and price. Interested sources may request a copy of the RFQ either by mail, fax or e-mail requests. The anticipated release date of the RFQ is August 9, 2004, and the anticipated due date for receipt of quote is August 20, 2004. This announcement is being issued under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items (NTE 100K). FAR Clauses in full text are available at http://www.ARNET.gov/far/.
