- Edwards AFB California has a requirement for Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Services for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). The Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) shall perform routine duties associated with maintaining a medical aid station, ambulance, and associated equipment to include the preparation, care and transportation of patients. The Medical Technicians will assist the 95th Medical Group with providing emergency first aid support for the Air Force Research Laboratory Propulsion Directorate employees and the Air Force to the nearest Hospital Emergency Room as necessary. Contractor must have the following California licenses, training, and certifications: (1) Current California Driver?s License (Class C license), and California Ambulance Driver?s certificate; (2) License in Emergency Medical Technology; (3) Basic CPR certification from an accredited institution/organization; (4) Kern County Emergency Medical (EMT) training and certification course; (6) Certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT); (7) Certification as CPR and First Aid Buddy Care Instructor. These licenses and certification must be submitted as part of the offer. CLIN 0001 will be firm fixed price (FFP) for two (2) full time emergency medical technicians (1-EMT Paramedic and 1- EMT Basics) to perform services during normal regular work hours. Normal regular work hours will be two (2) shifts. The first shift will be from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and the second shift will be from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a minimum of 4 hours and maximum of 8 hours regular time as required, Monday through Friday. CLIN 0002 will be a contingency line item outside of CLIN 0001, with a guaranteed minimum of four (4) hours. The following is a list of government furnished equipment: (1) Crew station ( approximately 225 square feet) in Bldg 8255, power, water, and phone. (2) Fully equipped ambulance: Kern County EMS Standard. This acquisition is being accomplished under FAR 12 procedures, Acquisition of Commercial Service. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 621910; and Size standard is $6M. This acquisition is 100% small business set-aside. The solicitation will be available over the FedBizOpps only. NO HARD COPIES will be mailed out. Anticipated period of performance is from 1 Oct 2004 through 30 Sep 2006, two (2) Basic Years, with three 1-year options. The government anticipates awarding an indefinite delivery, definite quantity contract. The anticipated issuance date of the request for proposal (RFP) on FedBizOpps is 3 August 2004.
