Description

The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from licensed roofing contractors operating in California - with a minimum of five years experience and at least two projects of comparable size, type, and scope - for the replacement of the existing roof at the Sacramento Processing & Distribution Center located in West Sacramento, CA. The work is to be completed in 120 calendar days after notice to proceed (weather and USPS holiday mailing season excepted). This is a postal owned facility. Estimated range is $2.5 - $3 Million. The proposal must contain the offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The minority subcontracting goal for this contract is 11%. Offers will not be publicly opened. All proposal information will remain confidential until award. Deleted clauses & provisions are replaced by new revised clause & provisions in the solicitation under Attachment 10. A MANDATORY PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD ON-SITE @ 10:00 AM, AUGUST 11, 2004, AND MUST BE ATTENDED BY INTERESTED OFFERORS. PLEASE THOROUGHLY REVIEW THE SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND BE PREPARE TO PRESENT ANY QUESTIONS SHOULD YOU REQUIRE CLARIFICATIONS. AWARD OF A CONTRACT WILL BE CONTINGENT ON APPROVED PROJECT FUNDING. To submit a proposal, complete, sign, and return pages 1&2; Section L; Schedule of Values (Attachment 4); Subcontracting Plan (Attachment 6); and Contractor's Qualification Statement (Attachment 12). This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the authority of the U. S. Postal Service Purchasing Manual, Issue 2 dated 1/31/02.
