- US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, intends to award a sole source purchase order using authority of FAR Part 6.302-1 with Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution(HBOI), 5600 US Highway 1 North, Fort Pierce, FL. 34946. The purchase or der is for general repairs to the Manatee Protection System(MPS) at Canaveral Lock. HBOI shall provide all necessary material, labor, and engineering services required to remove, test, clean, and reinstall the MPS at Canaveral Lock. HBOI shall develop a detail Bill of Material for equipment to be purchased, a detailed cleaning and testing plan, a plan for removal and reinstallation of the MPS. Work shall be performed concurrently and coordinated with the Canaveral Lock Rehabilitation Project Construction contract. The NAICS Code is 811213, and the size standard is $6.0 million respectively. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon res ponse to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received (quote with product specifications) will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All contracto rs must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database,(CCR), to be eligible for Department of Defense contract awards.
