- 17(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; qu otations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued!! 17(ii) The Solicitation Number is W90WL5-04-T-0078 is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). 17(iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses ar e those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-24 and DFARS Change Notice 20040625. 17(iv) This procurement is set-aside for small business concerns under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 333922, Conveyor and Con veying Equipment Manufacturing. The small business size standard is 750. 17(v) This acquisition is for a firm-fixed price purchase order. CLIN 0001 Furnish, install, and make operational wood beam assembly system iaw Equipment Specification No. AED-03- 04, dated 15 July 2004, Qty: 1 Each; SubCLIN 0001AA Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Qty: 1 Set, Not Separately Priced; CLIN 0002 Option Quantity: Furnish, install, and make operational wood beam assembly system iaw Equipment Specification No. AED-03-04 , dated 15 July 2004, Estimated Option Qty: 2 Each; SubCLIN 0002AA Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Estimated Option Qty: 2 EA. 17(vi) Copies of the Equipment Specification will be made available upon requests. All requests shall be directed to Paula K. Kramer, Contracting Officer (435) 833-5063. Copies will be made available while supplies last. 17(vii) Delivery shall be iaw FAR 52.211-8, Time of Delivery, fill-in (a) ??????All CLINS and SubCLINs??????, ??????Within Days 120 Calendar Days After Date of Contract Award??????; FOB Destination; Place of delivery, inspection, and final acceptance is Tooele Army Depot, Building 687, Tooele, Utah 84074. 17(viii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors??????Commercial, applies to this acquisition and is hereby incorporated by reference. 17(ix) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous representing the best value to the Gover nment price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: (1) Descriptive Literature; and (2) Price. Factors are listed in their relative order of importance. For evaluation purposes only, the Government will eva luate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the maximum requirements. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options will not obligate the Government to exercise options. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract w ithout further action by either party. Before the offer(s) specified expiration time, the Government may accept an offer(s) (or part of an offer(s)), whether or not there are negotiations after its receipt, unless a written notice of withdrawal is receive d before award. Offerors/quoters shall provide a point of contact, current telephone numbers and fax number for each contract. This list is due by the date established for receipt of offers. 17(x).
