Description

The 47th Contracting Squadron at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas will be requesting proposals for the repair/modification of Hangar Doors. The performance area is Laughlin Air Force Base. The proposed contract will consist of, but not be limited to, the following: repair the hangar doors so they open and close smoothly and correctly; weather strip each door and provide new neoprene astragals on vertical edge of doors; and modifying the doors so they open and close automatically which may include, but is not limited to, installing electric motors, brakes, safety edge sensors, time delay before door movement, etc. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238290 and the size standard is $12,000,000. The Solicitation Package will be issued in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be available for downloading from the Internet on the Federal Business Opportunities (Fed Biz Opps) Website at address: www.eps.gov on or about 06 August 2004. The closing date is tentatively scheduled for on or about 06 September 2004. All interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a Government contract and must have complied with the VETS 100 reporting requirement. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award.
