Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is soliciting contractual support for the management, personnel, materials, and vehicles necessary for the receipt, examination, certification, delivery and inventory of radioactive material shipments to various locations at NIH. Packaging opening and processing functions involve (1) certification that the package contents comply with the order, (2) examination for gross damage or leakage, (3) verification of radioactivity contamination and measurement of dose rates from the package, (4) recording of results, and (5) repackaging for delivery to various locations on the NIH Bethesda, MD campus and specified off-campus locations. The contract will be for a base period of 12 months and include four 12-month options. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The North American Classification Code (NAICS) is 561990 with a size standard of $6 million. The Government anticipates award of a fixed-price, requirements type contract. Solicitation 263-04-P(GG)-0047 will be made available on or about July 30, 2004 and will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website, http://www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including any amendments to the solicitation, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information concerning this acquisition. No facsimile or e-mail requests will be honored.
