- Description
- This project is located on the southeastern edge of White County, Illinois along the Wabash River near New Haven, Illinois. It is approximately 0.2 mi. south of Illinois State Route 141 and 0.4 mi. east of the Wabash River Bridge on Route 141. This project is to enhance and/or create wetland areas by creating 1 excavated area and constructing 1 berm. The major items of work for this project are: excavated area excavation 5,590 cy; 6,560 ft. long wetland berm construction 16,090 cy; installation of 3 water control structures; 220 ft of plastic pipe installation; 12 acres of temporary seeding and mulching of the berms and installation of 31 conservation easement signs. The estimated price range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The required performance time is 50 calendar days. A site showing is scheduled for 9:00 am, August 18, 2004 at the USDA Service Center, NRCS Office, 1105 W. Main St., Carmi, Illinois. The Service Center is located next to Hucks gas station on Ill. Route 1. The phone number for the Service Center is 618-382-2213, ext. 3. After a brief meeting concerning the bidding process and contract requirements, the group will tour the work site. Please bring your solicitation package including construction plans and specifications to the site showing.
