- The Environmental Protection Agency is seeking small business concerns to provide maintenance coverage for the Octel Voice Processing Systems (VPS). The NAICS code is Communication equipment repair and maintenance services 811213 the size standard is $6,000,000. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The EPA has two Octel Voice Processing Systems with associated peripherals serving approximately 9,500 subscribers and applications mailboxes throughout Washington, D.C. System "A" is a Lucent Octel Overture 250 System, installed in August 1997. System "A" is located at EPA Crystal Station I (CS-I) facility, 2800 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA, and provides voice processing services (VPS) to three northern Virginia buildings, serviced by two central offices. System "B" is a Lucent Octel Overture 350 System, installed in August 1996. System "B" is located at EPA Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) facility, 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C., and provides voice processing services (VPS) to fourteen Washington, D.C. area buildings, serviced by two central offices. Both the Octel Overture 250 System and the Octel Overture 350 System are integrated with SMSI/SMDI links from the central office-based ATT 5ESS switches (all Washington Interagency Telecommunications Systems (WITS)). Contractors interested in this requirement must have at a minimum the following experience. SMSI/SMDI links, 3A Translators, multi-line hunt groups, issues related to systems integration disaster recovery, off-premises extension services, central office programming, Government Centrex, Washington Interagency Telecommunications System (WITS), 5ESS programming/service, and must be an Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) voice service Octel authorized dealer/distributor.
