- 1. The Coronado National Forest, Tucson, Arizona, is soliciting quotes (RFQ) for the supply and delivery, FOB Destination, of 100 tons of wheat straw, certified noxious weed free. Delivery is to Columbine Work Center, Safford, Arizona, approximately 151 miles from Tucson. 2. Quotes are to be submitted to Coronado National Forest, Room 5F, 300 W. Congress, Tucson, AZ 85701 or faxed to Leah Arp-Romero at (520) 670-4532 by 3:00 P.M. MST, Thursday, July 22, 2004. 3. Note: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in [FAR] Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 4. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-24. 5. This acquisition is set-aside 100% for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 424910 and the size standard is 500 employees. 7. Schedule of Supplies and Services: Item 01: Supply, deliver, and unload, in bales of 700 to 800 pounds, 100 tons of wheat straw, certified noxious weed free. Quoter who receives award for this procurement must provide certification of noxious weed free status of straw bales within 24 hours of notification of award; Item 02: Supply squeeze lift with operator to load all bales into cargo nets for helicopter transport of bales to mulching site. 8. Delivery: Item 01, begin July 27, 2004; Item 02, July 28, 2004; Due to narrow road and difficult access, trailer must be less than 30 feet in length. 9. Quotes must include a completed copy of [FAR] 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items. [FAR] 52.212-2 Evaluation, Commercial Items is applicable with the following factors used to evaluate quotes: Price, technical conformity to specifications, and ability to meet delivery schedule. 10.
