Description
The United States Coast Guard intends to purchase from TRANSAS USA, Inc an upgrade, to the existing TRANSAS Electronic Chart Display Information Systems (ECDIS) installed onboard the existing fleet of 87 foot Patrol Boats. The North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) is 334511 and the size standard is 750 employees. Specifications, plans or drawings relating to this procurement are not available and cannot be provided by the Government. This information is proprietary to Bollinger Shipyards Lockport, L.L.C. and TRANSAS USA, Incorporated. The TRANSAS upgrade will provide necessary compatibility with the entire fleet of 87 Foot Coastal Patrol Boats. These upgrades will provide the required full compatibility and commonality with the existing fleet ECDIS units and will add features and improvements to the existing ECDIS systems including AIS Interface and DNC and DSC capability. No substitutes shall be considered at this time. All responses must be received within 30 calendar days of this notice, addressed to United States Coast Guard (USCG), Contracting Officer, USCG Coastal Patrol Boat Project Resident Office, P.O. Box 558, 8365 Highway 308, Building 25, Lockport, LA 70374-0558. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302. Award shall be made by the close of business on or about 30 August 2004 or when funding is available. Delivery shall be FOB Destination at each vessel?s homeport.
