Description

The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue and Invitation for Bid for a firm-fixed price construction contract to refurbish two existing 144/192 MVA, 230-13.8-kV outdoor, oil-filled power transformers located approximately 55 miles east of Stockton, California in Calaveras County, California. Principal components of the work include: 1. Oil removal and re-installation, 2. Internal inspection, 3. Painting, 4. Gasket replacement, 5. Leak repairs including replacing previous leak repairs, 6. Removal and disposal of existing radiators, 7. Furnish and install new radiators including providing two additional radiators. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Period of Performance is approximately 260 calendar days. This is an unrestricted solicitation and all offers from responsible concerns will be considered. FAR Clause 52.219-4 "Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZone Small Business Concerns" applies. NAICS Code is: 237310 and size standard is: $28.5M. The solicitation will be posted on the FEDBIZ OPS web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 30, 2004. The solicitation and specifications MUST be downloaded at the above site, with drawings being mailed to you by hardcopy. No paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed with the exception of the drawings. You must register on the Bidder's Mailing List to receive the drawings.
