Description

NOTICE OF INTENT FOR SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT TO MAPTECH, INC.: The United States Coast Guard (USCG) intends to award a sole-source contract to Maptech, Inc., a small business based in Amesbury, MA, for land-based electronic CD raster nautical charts (RNCs) for use by USCG shore based commands throughout the United States and its territories, Canada and the Caribbean. The proposed contract is for supplies that the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received by the closing date and time will be considered. A written solicitation will not be issued. Interested parties may submit capabilities statements to respond to this requirement. Information obtained from this notice will be used only for the purposes of deciding whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Information must be received by no later than 2:30 PM EST, July 31, 2004 and shall be e-mailed to thamilton-sanchez@comdt.uscg.mil (any attachments should be in Word, Rich Text Format, or PDF and must not exceed 2MB) or faxed to Tiarnna Hamilton-Sanchez/G-ACS-5B at (202) 267-4019.
