Description
This amendment provides answers to the following questions: (1) The Government has accepted FAA field approval in the past for the NVG compatibility. The required STC approval will add significant cost to the NVG compatibility. Will the Government accept FAA field approval via FAA Field Approval Form 337 for the NVG compatibility? Answer - Yes, provided the FAA Field Approval Form 337 is included/provided with the purchased aircraft. (2) In the past the Government has used a VHF frequency range of 146-174MHz on the Grand Caravans in Bogot?. Is this an acceptable frequency range? The Cessna Grand Caravan already comes with dual NAVCOM VHF transmitters/receivers in the frequency range 118.00-136.975MHz (Silver Crown). Answer - 146-174MHz is not acceptable, but the Silver Crown is. Deadline for proposals is 4 pm 7/21/04.
