- THE PURPOSE OF THIS MODIFICATION IS TO CHANGE THE ACTION CODE FROM A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE TO A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has interest and is seeking sources capable of providing information in terms of budgetary pricing for an analysis to be performed on future processing of currency in accordance with the Equipment Pricing Request, questions, and draft Conceptual Process Flow charts which are attached herein. All price quotes are for the performance of a cost analysis on future currency processing and are not obligations. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement only. Solicitations are not available at this time, and as such any request for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The BEP is interested in a cost analysis. At this point, the BEP does not intend on purchasing any particular service, but would like to review service literature and pricing as part of a market research to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. All interested businesses are requested to submit written information and brochures, which will be reviewed by the agency. If pricing is available under GSA Schedule please provide the schedule number. A site visit will be held from September 7, 2004 through September 17, 2004. All interested parties must submit a list of all personnel who will attend the site visit with their Sources Sought Cost Estimate in order to ensure visitor access to this secure Government facility. All visiting personnel are reminded to bring a picture ID and to leave all cameras and recording devices at home as they are not permitted into this secure facility. Information for this Sources Sought Cost Estimate and the visitor list for the site visits are due on August 30, 2004 by 3:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time.
