****************************************************** This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for Quote. Submit written offers (oral offers will not be accepted), on Solicitation Number FA5606-04-T-0170. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-24 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. North American Industrial Classification Standard 238220 applies to this procurement. ******************************************************* Non-personal service to upgrade existing fire sprinkler system in Building 61, Bitburg Hospital. Also add a back flow preventer Dn100, and replace clapper valve. Price should include parts, labor, and driving distance for contractor. STATEMENT OF WORK - Fire Suppression System Upgrade. 1. The contractor will provide parts, labor, transportation and freight charges as required to upgrade the existing fire suppression system located in Bldg 61, room 435. 2. The contractor must add back flow prevention device DN 100 (DVGW proof) and replace the existing clapper valve (Make: SFH) DN 100. All other needed replacement parts have been identified on the attached document. 3. The contractor will coordinate, at least 14 days in advance, the specific date and time of each required visit, with the Facility Management department. They can be reached at 06561 693153. 4. All services shall be performed during the hours of 0730 and 1600, Monday through Friday, excluding American holidays. The contractor?s service personnel shall report to the Facility Management office, Bldg 61, room 318, prior to, and upon completion of each required visit. If repair parts are required and must be obtained, the contractor will return with the parts within 24 hours and return the unit to operational condition. 5. All services shall be performed on-site. Equipment will not be removed from the on-site location without consent of the Facility Management personnel. If removal of equipment is required, it will be at no charge to the US government. This includes possible costs incurred for transportation, per diem or mileage. 6. A copy of the service invoice must be left with the Facility Management Office. The invoice will include the following information: hours required performing the service, complete list of repair parts, and a detailed description of all work performed. 7. The contractor must test the system after all work has been completed. A written report of system testing must be provided to the Facility Management Office.
