- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard has a need for Corrective and Preventative Maintenance in support of their National Distress System (NDS) located in Hawaii and Guam. The acquisition will be a firm fixed-price contract with one award based on best value source selection decision. The procurement will be a commercial FAR Part 12 acquisition using FAR Part 13.5 procedures. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, material, supplies, tools, consumable parts, equipment, transportation, and administrative services in accordance with the Performance Work Statement and Attachments that will be provided with the solicitation. On site maintenance is required at Mt. Mauna Kapu, Mt. Kaala, Mt Haleakala, SARDET Kauai, Mt. Kokee, Kulani Cone, Mt. Kilohana and SARDET Hilo, in Hawaii and Orote Pt, Nimitz Hill and MARSEC in Guam. Motorola manufactures most of the equipment. A complete equipment list will be provided in the solicitation. Price, technical compliance, past performance and experience, and financial information will be required. The period of performance is anticipated to be 01 October 2004 through 30 September 2005, with four one-year options. The solicitation will contain specific information and updates. The solicitation should be issued on or about 10 August 2004, without further notice. The solicitation will only be issued via FedBizOps at www.eps.gov under Vendors, DHS, United States Coast Guard, Commander (fcp) USCG Maintenance and Logistics Command ? Pacific, Alameda, CA. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be issued. Telephone requests for solicitation package will not be taken. The NAICS code is 811219, with a size standard of $6 million.
