Description
The Government intends to issue a competitive Request For Quote (RFQ) to procure one 40-ton rubber tire gantry crane to be used between two buildings at SUBDEVRON FIVE, Bangor, WA. This solicitation is for the acquisition of commercial items in accordance with Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The crane shall be designed, fabricated, assembled, complete, tested, delivered, installed and ready for use. The crane shall have two bridges, each with a separate 20-ton capacity hoist/trolley, capable of independent and simultaneous travels/lifts and be capable of traveling with full load on a 1% grade. A packaged hoist is acceptable. The crane shall be cab operated for both movement and hoisting. The known requirements are as follows: -Maximum total capacity: 40- (short) tons -Maximum overall height of crane: 21-feet [6.40 m] -Maximum overall width of crane: 22-feet [6.71 m] -Minimum clear gantry opening: 14-feet [4.27 m] -Minimum hook height: 17-feet [5.18 m] -Typical items to be lifted: Standard CONEX boxes; Sea/Land containers (largest @ 8-feet wide x 8-feet high x 22-feet long [2.44 m x 2.44 m x 6.71m]; Miscellaneous (odd-shaped) equipment (largest @ approximately 11-feet wide x 8-feet high x 23-feet long [3.35 m x 2.44 m x 7.01 m]) resting on a transport dolly. This solicitation is set- aside for Small Business. One award will be made for design, fabrication, delivery, erection and testing of the 40-Ton rubber tire gantry crane. All firms responding will be required to return the Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Item (May 2002) and various applicable attachments with their proposals. This solicitation will be posted at the following Internet site: http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. To download the solicitation, and if applicable, all amendments, you must create an account and register. Once registered, you will be notified by e-mail that the solicitation documents are available for downloading. An official plan holder?s list will be maintained on-line and can be printed from the web site. E-mail notification of any changes (amendments) to the solicitation will only be made via the e-sol web site, and only to contractors who register on the site for this solicitation. Therefore, it is the contractor?s responsibility to check the internet site listed above daily for any posted changes to the solicitation plans and specification.
