Description

NA This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts and in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the replacement of one diesel engine, transmission and two flap gates located at the pump house at the East Pool Site of the Mackay Island National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) in Knotts Island, North Carolina. This solicitation is not a Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with the latest quarterly adjustment under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 237990 is applicable to this solicitation. The size standard is $28.5 million. The estimated range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The tentative RFQ issue date is on or about 07/20/2004, with a 08/03/04 response date. A firm fixed price purchase order will be issued with a performance period of 90 days from the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated award date is 08/17/04. The RFQ documents will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities website. The FWS is currently using Electronic Commerce to issue solicitations and the resulting award. The RFQ documents will be available at the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov under RFQ Number 401814Q177. Paper copies WILL NOT be available. In order to submit a quote on-line, you must be registered at the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website at http://www.ccr.gov and use of a Dun and Bradstreet (Duns) and Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN) is required.
