Description

Sole Source. The United States Army Contracting Agency,Southern Region, Yuma Directorate, Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Optical Scientific Inc., 205 Perry Parkway, Suite 14, Galthersburg, MD 20877-2141. This contract will be for the purchase of a (LOA-005-AR)Long Baseline Optical Anemometer and Turbulence Sensor for 115 VAC with RS-232 output(Transmitter, Receiver & DSP-based Electronics Enclosure). Award will includ e LOA Tripods(set of 2), LOA Adjustment Mounts(set of 2), Qwik Collect Software for LOA, LOA to Laptop PC serial communications cable 15 ft.(terminated with DB9f connector, Field Test Kit for the LOA. Acquiring these items from Optical Scientific Inc. woul d allow uniformity in procedures and test data among the various test ranges using the same equipment. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested persons m ay identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these services, then you must respon d by 29 July 2004, 3:00 PM MST. Email your response demonstrating your firms experience and capability of providing this requirement to Edgar Angulo at Edgar.Angulo@yuma.army.mil In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional rel easing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed item. See Note 22 with the exception that the time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 10 days instead of 45 days.
