Description

Provide all services for partial demolition and reconstruction of a 24 bed, 7,640 GSF, pre and post-surgical inpatient ward. Project will also allow for the removal of asbestos-containing mterials (ACM) from the ward. Project is on the 4th floor, VA Medical Center, Louisville, Kentucky. Design includes the preparation of complete drawings in AutoCAD 2004 format, specifications, and construction cost estimates per VA guidelines. Project involves major renovation of most areas and minor finish improvements in others. The new design will conform to current standards and provide adequate facilities for patients and visitors. Design is also to include preparation of detailed phasing plan/sequence of operation for minimum disruption of hospital operations. The A/E team must include a CIH for planning of asbestos abatement throughout the project. No construction contract may be awarded to the firm that designs the project. This solicitation is unrestricted in accordance with the SBA Demonstration Program. Area of consideration is restricted to firms located within a 30 mile radius of the VA Medical Center Louisville Kentucky. Interested/qualified firms should submit (in triplicate) to the contracting officer, the Standard Form 330 which can be downloaded from this notice. Award of contract is subject to availability of funding. NAICS code 541310 applies.
