Description

Provide all labor, material, expert supervision and equipment necessary to Upgrade & Expand Emergency Care Spaces in accordance with plans and specifications. Project will be phased so as to allow maximum use in existing ER spaces during construction. Design includes but is not limited to the following: demolition, asbestos removal, site work, structural, remodeling, equipment replacement, plumbing, medical gas and vacuum piping, HVAC, electrical and related work. Plans and specs will be available on/about August 13, 2004. NAICS code 235110 with small business size of $28.5 million applies to this solicitation. Solicitation is unrestriced. Estimated construction cost range is between $2,000,000 and $3,000,000. Contract award is subject to availability of funding. Pre-bid conference is scheduled for August 26, 2004 @ 10:00AM at VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Ave., Louisville, KY, Bldg 3, room #3207. While not mandatory, it is strongly encouraged that all potential bidders attend the pre-bid conference. Bid packages are only available in hard copy and must be requested in writing. Written requests shall be in the form of company letterhead that includes complete company address, telephone & fax numbers, e-mail addresss, and point of contact. There is a $200 non-refundable charge per set of bid documents. All written requests must identify the solicitation number IFB 603-18-04 and include a check (cashiers and/or company check) or a money order. Check should be mailed to the attention of the Contracting Officer and made payable to the VAMC #603, Louisville. NOTE: All amendments to this solicitation will be posted on the following web site: www.fedbizopps.gov and NO hard-copy of the amendments will be available from the issuing office. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments from the website.
