Description

The VA Greater Los Angeles Medical Center has a requirement for Project 691-04-123WL to Repair/Modernize the 7 Stop Pharmacy Dumbwaiter. A Firm-Fixed Price Construction contract will be awarded to provide labor, material, and technical expertise necessary to satisfy this requirement in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The solicitation shall be issued on a Competitive Proposal basis in accordance with FAR 6.102(b) and 6.104(b), 10 U.S.C. 2304 and 41 U.S.C. 253, providing for Full and Open Competition utilizing Competitive Procedures. Award will be made in accordance with FAR 15.101, Best Value Continuum. Technical evaluation factors are significantly more important than price. Solicitation package RFP600-776-04VF, including technical specifications and drawings, will be issued on or about July 26, 2004 electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Specification package will be an Adobe PDF file; Drawings will be a zip file containing AutoCAD files. No e-mail or telephone requests for solicitation packages will be accepted. Offerors are advised that it is your responsibility to review and monitor the website frequently to ensure you have the most current information, including any Amendments. Electronic proposals will not be accepted. The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) Code of 238290, Special Trade Construction, is assigned to this Acquisition. The Small Business Size standard shall be $12.0 Million. The estimated construction cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. Performance period shall be 125 calendar days. Performance and Payment Bonds, in an amount equivalent to 100% of the award price, shall be required. A Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit shall be held, information regarding the actual date/time/location will be provided with the solicitation package.
