- Description
- QUESTION AND ANSWER: (QUESTION 1) On the Runway, are seven conductors required? If so, how many are power, communication, and ground? (ANSWER 1) As per the product description, seven conductors are required. All are power. (QUESTION 2) The Bridge is calling out nine conductors, how many are power, communication, and ground? (ANSWER 2) nine conductors are power, one conductor is equipment ground. (QUESTIONS 3) Is the installation in a “harsh” environment? (ANSWER 3) The installation is NOT in a harsh environment. (QUESTION 4) I need to verify by the Gov. spec that this can be two housings run side by side one 4 pole and one 3 pole to get the 7 poles required. I am not aware of a single PVC housing that contains 7 independent continuous copper conductors. (ANSWER 4) As per the product description, each PVC housing must have a minimum of 7 independent continuous copper conductors. The copper conductors must be the length of the run not just the length of the housing. Examples of manufacturers providing products that support a single PVC housing that contains 7 independent continuous copper conductors are: Aero-Motive, Vahle, Wampfler, etc. (QUESTION 5) Contractor wants to know if the length is the total amount, or if the length should be multiplied by the quantity to get the total amount. (ANSWER 5) Qty 15 individual runways that are 372 feet each - Qty 15 feed rails 372 feet long; Qty 10 individual bridge feed rails that are 100 feet each - Qty 10 feed rails 100 feet long; and Qty 20 individual bridge feed rails that are 50 feet each - Qty 20 feed rails 50 feet long.
