Description: This requirement is being procured in accord with FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts and award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the demolition of a concrete and wood frame ramp at the front of the Visitor Center and a landing and stairs at the rear and the construction of two new entrance ramps, the removal and replacement of clerestory windows at the visitor center and the demolition and replacement of sections of a concrete sidewalk that serves as a nature trail. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment and materials for the project. This is not a Small Business Set-Aside in accord with the latest quarterly adjustment under the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 238190. The size standard is $12 Million. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The tenative issuance date is 07/20/04 with a closing date of 08/18/04. A firm fixed price contract will be issued with a performance period of 60 days from the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated award date is 08/26/04. The RFQ documents will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Web Site at HTTP://FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under RFQ No. 401814Q170. Paper copies will NOT be available. Once the solicitation is posted it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site for any updates/amendments.
