Description
This is a Commercial Service Contract in accordance with PART 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue an Invitation for Bid in accordance with FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding. The principal components of the work to be performed include inspection, lubrication and the installation of new trip devices on 11 Siemens type LA breakers at Crystal Power Plant and on 12 Siemens type RA breakers at Blue Mesa Power Plant. There will be a site tour scheduled for all interested parties (the date and time will be provided with the solicitation). The work will be performed under the North American Industry Classification System Codes (NAICS) 238210 and 335313. The contract will be firm, fixed price. Opening response date will be August 6, 2004 and Closing Response date will be approximately August 27, 2004. Verify Closing Response date in solicitation. This will be a full and open competition. The Blue Mesa and Crystal Power Plants are located in Montrose, Colorado. An electronic copy of the solicitation (without drawings) will be available approximately August 6, 2004 at website: www.fedbizopps.gov. A free copy of the drawings (on CD) may be obtained by sending a fax or e-mail request to Sonia Kamai at (801) 524-3706 or skamai@uc.usbr.gov. Refer to the Solicitation name and number in your request, include your DUN's and TIN, phone and fax numbers. Department of the Interior has directed the use of Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as the single validated source on vendors doing business with the Government. Prospective vendors must be registered in CCR prior to the award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
