Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued by t his office. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, W912LQ-04-T-0013, is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effe ct through Federal Acquisition Circular 24. This solicitation is set aside for small businesses with NAICS 424490 with no more than 100 employees. All responsible sources are encouraged to bid. Contract will be a firm fixed price award for one base year an d four option years. This acquisition will use a best value process evaluating technical capabilities, price and past performance. The entire solicitation and supporting documentation is available as attachments to this announcement. Interested parties sh ould download and complete the solicitation paperwork and submit it with quote no later than 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 28 July, 2004. The contractor shall provide and deliver subsistence items to the Virginia National Guard in Virginia, including all VANG facilities, VANG units training in Virginia and other units training at facilities operated by the VANG. The contractor is responsible for providing all warehousing, equipment, vehicles and personnel needed to perform this contract. The contractor is required to operate a government owned contractor operated facility on Fort Pickett during the training season. The government will provide this facility and some equipment exclusively for the contractor's use in performing this contract. Attachments to this announcement include: statement of work, contract provisions and clauses, 14-Day menu, inventory list, and unit strength. Interested contractors should download and review this information for a complete understanding of scope. A pre-bi d meeting will be conducted at Bldg 317, Ft. Pickett, Blackstone, VA at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 21 July 2004. This is the only opportunity to view the facilities at Fort Pickett.
