Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is soliciting sources for the repair part for the new Cope Press. The part is Gripper Shaft L6350100 Blatt 221 Teil 010 Cope Pak Super Numerota 212, which is BEP Stock Number 2M030831. Quantity needed is ten (10). The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; a written request for quotation will not be issued. Delivery terms are F.O.B. Destination to BEP Western Currency Facility (WCF) located in Forth Worth, TX. The resulting Purchase Order shall be Firm Fixed Price. Award shall be made to the responsible, technically acceptable offeror who is lowest in price. All interested small businesses are requested to submit a written quotation, which will be considered by the agency. Quotations may be made on company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, and point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNs number, and size status (i.e., small business, disadvantaged business or woman owned business). If this item is available under GSA Schedule please provide the schedule number. Quotations are due on July 9, 2004 by 3:00 P.M. Eastern Standard time. Quotations may be mailed to the BEP Office of Procurement, Attn: Christina Tayman, 14th and C Sts, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20228-0001 or faxed to Christina Tayman at (202) 874-2200 or (202) 874-3235. All responsible sources may submit an offer upon receipt of the RFQ, this, shall be considered by the Agency. 19. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses (see numbered note 1). The applicable NAICS (formerly SIC) code is 333319 with an associated small business size standard of 500 Employees. See FAR 19.102 or www.sba.gov/size/NAICS-cover-page.htm. If a response is not received from two or more small business quoters, the procurement will automatically concert to an unrestricted status.
