Description
This solicitation is for small businesses set aside only. NASA/MSFC has a requirement for a Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) Foreign Filling in the following countries: 1)Australia 2)Brazil 3)Canada 4)Colombia 5)EPO-Europe 6)India 7)Indonesia 8)Japan 9)Mexico 10)Philippines 11)Viet Nam The contractor shall prepare or coordinate the preparation, filing and prosecution to issuance of PCT or other patent applications in designated countries. The contractor shall comply with the requirements and standards set by the USPTO, the PCT and the designated countries. All materials prepared are subject to review and approval by NASA Patent Counsel. Copies of all materials prepared for and received from the designated countries will be forwarded to NASA Patent Counsel. Required documentation for PCT Filling is available by contacting Allison Sandt at allison.k.sandt@msfc.nasa.gov. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) no later than July 30, 2004. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASA Specific Note "B".
