Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to award a sole source commercial contract to Pearson Engineering of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK for thirty (30) Assault Breacher Vehicle (ABV) Breaching Systems. Each Breaching System will be incorporated into an Abrams M1A1 Main Battle Tank chassis. Each ABV Breaching System is comprised of the following subsystems: a) One (1) Lane Marking Subsystem (left & right components); b) One (1) Remote Control Subsystem with modular Operator Control Unit (OCU); Ruggedized Display, and Game Pad Controller; c) One (1) Full Width Mine Plow Subsystem with Blast Resistant Upgrades and High Lift Adapter (HLA) modifications; d) One (1) Surface Mine Plow Subsystem with HLA modifications; e) One (1) Rapid Ordnance Removal Subsystem with HLA modifications; f) One (1) Dozer Blade Subsystem with HLA modifications, g) One (1) Light Weight Mine Roller with HLA modifications. All of the above subsystems include associated mounting hardware, cables, hydraulic lines, and fittings necessary to fully install and operate the subsystem. Additional items to be procured are Installation support, New Equipment Training (NET), Operator and Maintenance Manuals and other associated publications; Contractor Logistical Support; Initial spares parts packages and provisioning data for each subsystem. The notional delivery schedule will require six (6) Breaching Systems to be delivered in Fiscal Year (FY) 05, twenty (20) in FY 06 and four (4) in FY07. See Numbered Note 22.
