Description
Point of Contact for this project is Shelley Martinez, Contract Specialist, (817) 886-1090. This project is to upgrade the PMEL Lab so that it will pass the AFMETCAL inspection that is required to keep the lab open. The PMEL Lab is used for calibrat ion of various aircraft equipment. The purpose of this project is to relocate PMEL from the existing space in H63 to the Avionics area of H 63 and relocate the Avionics shop to the present PMEL area. Requirements exist for positive pressure within the ca libration area and familiarity with Clean Construction Protocol (CCP). Estimated Construction Range: Between $1,000,000 & $5,000,000. Solicitation will issue on or about 5 August 2004. Proposals will be due on or about 8 September 2004 at 4:00 p.m., ce ntral time. Duration of project is 270 calendar days. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 236220. Small Business Size Standard is $28,500,000.00. This is an UNRESTRICTED solicitation. All qual ified business concerns may submit offers. Offers from large business firms must comply with FAR Clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a subcontracting plan. The Fort Worth District subcontracting goals are for specified percentages of the contractors total planned subcontracting amount to be placed with the following: Small Business 57.2%; Small Disadvantages Business, 10%; Women-Owned Small Business, 10%; Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, 3.0%; and HUBZone Small Busin ess, 3.0%. The plans and specifications will be placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge on the issue date. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made thr ough CD-ROM and/or the Internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted c hanges to this solicitation.
