Description

Point of Contact for this project is Shelley Martinez, Contract Specialist, (817) 886-1090. The project consists of the construction of a 63,484sf Fitness Center and all supporting facilities. Gym will include weight room, basketball and handball/racquetball courts, group exercise areas, locker rooms, laundry, storage, administra tion, elevated track and HAWC unit. Estimated Construction Range: Between $10,000,000 & $25,000,000. Solicitation will issue on or about 27 July 2004. Proposals will be due on or about 26 August 2004 at 4:00 p.m., central time. Duration of project is 4 90 calendar days. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 236220. Small Business Size Standard is $28,500,000.00. This is an UNRESTRICTED solicitation. All qualified business concerns may submit of fers. Offers from large business firms must comply with FAR Clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a subcontracting plan. The Fort Worth District subcontracting goals are for specified percentages of the contractors total planned sub contracting amount to be placed with the following: Small Business 57.2%; Small Disadvantages Business, 10%; Women-Owned Small Business, 10%; Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, 3.0%; and HUBZone Small Business, 3.0%. The plans and specificatio ns will be placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge on the issue date. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through CD-ROM and/or the Internet. How ever, the Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
