Description

The Army requires a firm fixed price construction contract to ??????Replace Well Shelters, WAAF, Buildings # 7731 & 7732, Fort Stewart, GA.,?????? complete in strict accordance with specifications and drawings, subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. The work includes, but is not necessarily restricted to the following: (1) Demo existing wood structures down to foundation slab, see drawing FS-2701 for details: (2) Construct new buildings in accordance with drawing # FS-2701; (3) Paint e xterior cmu with one coat filler and two coats of paint; (4) Paint all exposed wood on exterior with one coat of primer and two coats of paint; (5) Paint all doors and frames both faces with one coat of primer and two coats of paint; (6) Paint tank to incl ude piers in bldg #7731 with one coat of primer and two coats of paint; (7) Paint new and existing security screens with one coat of primer and two coats paint; (8) Contractor to submit color samples for customer selection for all new installed items and p aint; (9) Demo all existing electrical; (10) The contractor shall install new equipment for the 200 amp service; (11) Install a ?????????? x 10?????? copper clad ground rod; (12) Disconnect all motors; (13) Reinstall all demo??????d controls, controllers , motor connections, starters, recorders, pressure and limit switches, battery charger, etc. The contractor will be required to perform operational test on all equipment prior to acceptance of the new building; and (14) This project contains asbestos. As bestos removal shall be done by others. SIC Code is 1542, NAICS Code is 236220 and the Size Standard is $28,500,000.00. Performance time is 60 calendar days. Project is UNRESTRICTED. All responsible businesses may submit a proposal that will be conside red. Magnitude is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The anticipated issue date for this solicitation is 27 July 2004.
