Description

This notice serves as both a presolicitation notice/procurement synopsis for technical support of the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM). The U.S. Government intends to award a sole source contract to Raytheon Company to perform follow-on efforts for the technical support of the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM). The effort includes providing technical support to AMRAAM production in various areas of systems engineering, software, test, aircraft integration, and logistics for the Air Force, Navy, FMS countries and others. This acquisition requires the type knowledge that could only be gained by years of experience in applying skills to the specific AMRAAM missile design and the technical data package not available for release. Specific and detailed knowledge and experience is required with AMRAAM software, missile design, special test assets, U.S. Government simulation facilities and aircraft integration. The project is anticipated to begin in February 1, 2005 with one year of basic effort and two one-year options for ordering. The date for response to this Notice of Contract Action (NOCA) is 15 days after posting. Date of solicitation projected to be on or about 2 September 2004; date of closing/response (final proposal) is on or about 29 November 2004. This acquisition is contemplated as sole source under authority of FAR 6.203-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements (10 USC 2304(c)(1)) to Raytheon Systems Company, P.O.
