- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written document will not be issued. HSCG38-04-Q-500030 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 01-24. The applicable NAICS number is 336413 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. This is an unrestricted procurement. The U.S. Coast Guard is soliciting quotes for the purchase of the following equipmentl ( *Items 1, 2 and 3 are the same but have different quantities and different delivery locations): ITEMs 1, 2 and 3: Maintenance Platform, Aircraft, NSN: 1730-00-390-5618, Acceptable Part Numbers: 50-19080 Mfg. Cage Code 23808 (Superior Companies Inc.); 47R16420, B-1 or B1, Mfg. Cage Code 05060 (R.E. Atckison); or Part Number D4, Mfg. Cage Code 78973 (United Steel & Wire). ITEM 1 Quantity is 4 Each, ITEM 2 Quantity is 3 Each, and ITEM 3 Quantity is 2 Each. Drawings are not available and cannot be furnished by the U.S. Coast Guard. Packaging, Packing and preservation shall be in accordance with best commercial practices to enable shipment to destination. Item shall be individually packaged and labeled. Labeling shall include the appropriate Part Number, Nomenclature, Purchase Order Number, and Line Item Number. Labeling data shall be attached to the outside of the shipping container. Packaging material shall not consist of popcorn, shredded paper, Styrofoam of any type, or peanut packaging. Internal packing material shall be sufficient to prevent damage during shipment, handling and storage. Bar coding is not required. DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS: ITEM 1 shall be delivered to USCG Air Station, Hangar 49, Elizabeth City NC 2790; ITEM 2 shall be delivered to USCG Air Station Clearwater, 15100 Rescue Way, Clearwater FL 33762, and ITEM 3 shall be delivered to USCG Air Station Barbers Point, 1 Coral Sea Road Bldg 1669 T, Kapolei, HI 96707. Inspection and acceptance of equipment shall be performed at Destination . The Closing Date for receipt of quotes is 27 July 2004, 4:00 p.m. EDST. Quotes may be F.o.b Destination or F.o.b. Origin, freight prepaid. F.o.b. Origin quotes must include shipping costs to be considered responsive. Reimbursable Transportation: Material shall be delivered FOB suppliers plant with shipment to be made to destination(s) subject to reimbursement. The transportation cost is to be billed as a separate item and ff exceeds $100.00, the charge must be supported by a freight bill.
