Description
The Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Federal Air Marshal Service intends to award a sole source contract to palmOne for the repair of damaged Tungsten W PDA devices. Warranty provisions will apply to repaired devices. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 ? only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 811212. This service is available only from palmOne as the sole manufacturer of the Tungsten W device. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations and no solicitation document is available. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may given written notice to the Contractor Officer within five (5) calendar days from the date of this published synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, FAMS via email to nancy.g.ballay@secureskies.net. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the FAMS will proceed with the sole source contract to palmOne.
