Description: The closing date has been extended to 19 JUL 2004, 1:00p.m. EST. Clause 52-217-8, Option to Extend Services (Nov 1999) applies to this requirement with the following insert: 30 days. The inserts for Clause 52.217-9 Option to Extend the Terms of th e Contract (Mar 1989) are: paragraph a. 30 days...60 days, paragraph c. 5 years. Attached is a list of questions and answers pertaining to this requirement. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1) What type siding, what is EIFS, and what type roofing? Exterior Insulation and Finishing System is exterior wall finish, roofing to be 45mil TPO, not EPDM. 2) Water and sewer to be manifolded and teed together under building & just stubbed out. Verify no further water & sewer connections or trenching beyond building stub outs? The Government is responsible for final connections of utilities from a single point of connection. 3) Electrical subpanels on each module (13) to be all connected to a gutter only. Verify no further electrical connection to an Army supplied main panel or transformer? The Government will be making connections from gutter tray/disconnects. 4) Is temporary power available? Yes 5) How close are restrooms for set up crew? Within 100 Feet 6) Is a HVAC balance required? Yes 7) Written specs say 10,000 SF but drawing = 12,744 SF? Drawing governs. 8) Is it okay to propose end mounted HVAC package units in lieu of roof mounted HVAC? No, roof mounted are required. 9) State of VA labels? Yes 10) Fire Sprinkler - below & above ceiling? Does each modular work station cubicle require a sprinkler head? Do sprinkler heads have to be center line lengthwise of ceiling tile? Sprinkler heads below and above ceiling. Design per NFPA. 11) What are the small circles show on the drawing? The circles in which you are referring to are the symbols for the phone, LAN and elect recpt. 12) Does prevailing wage apply for any work on site? No. The Davis-Bacon Act does not apply to this requirement. 13) Suspended ceiling? Yes, suspended ceiling 14) Dedicated electrical receptacles? How many per floor or module in order to size and price electric panels? Yes, one in office 4, break room, server room, & on ceiling whips in open office areas. 15) Number of phone & data boxes? One phone & one data per office, one phone & one data per cubicle space, in conference room, two phone & two data in Generalâs Office, one phone & one data at reception area. 16) Modular furniture modular partition walls for cubicles - furnished by Army or by us? All modular furniture and accessories by Army 17) HVAC - Okay to propose wall hung? See #8 18) EFIS - What is this? See #1 19) Gutters & downspouts - Have to be concealed? Collection box and downspouts do not have to be concealed, paint to match exterior walls. 20) Is gas heat required in HVAC units? No 21) Topo of site available? No 22) Specs seem to indicate drilled footers below grade are required - is this correct? Is a soil analysis available? Drilled piers provided by Army.
