- Anticipated Issue Date: 12 July 2004. The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is hereby issuing a notice of intent to award sole source contracts to MDV (Military Distributors of Virginia/Coastal Pacific) and to Coastal Pacific Food Distributors, Inc. Contractor shall provide all supervision, personnel, equipment, transportation, tools, parts, facilities, and other items necessary to perform materiel management for DeCA's Far East and European Regions using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition. The anticipated award date is 16 July 2004. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit relevant information in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government. All responses must be received by COB 15 July, 2004. If no responses are received by this date, contracts will be awarded to MDV/Coastal Pacific and Coastal Pacific Food Distributors, Inc. on a sole source basis. The POC for this notice is Janice S.
