Description
The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) in a negotiated procurement for microfilm/microfiche duplication services for NARA. The proposed requirement provides for the acquisition of all management, facilities, supervision, personnel, shipping, supplies, and equipment necessary to duplicate requested microfilm and microfiche. NARA is the repository for the permanently valuable records of the Federal Government. Under the authority of 44 U.S.C. 2307, the National Archives Trust Fund Board conducts the NARA microfilm publication program that provides the general public with access to records of high interest through the sale of microfilm copies of archival records. NARA has more than 3,300 individual microfilm publications, consisting of anywhere from one roll to several thousand rolls each. This contract proposes to replace the current contract so that more of NARA?s microfilm and microfiche products can be reproduced by a contractor on an ?as needed? basis. Such a contract will allow NARA to concentrate its microfilm services on the preservation of permanent records. The contract awarded as a result of this RFP will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract with Department of Labor wage determinations incorporated. The term of the contract will be for a base period of twelve (12) months with four (4) 12-month option periods. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that will be considered by NARA. Copies of the RFP, which will be available on or about July 16, 2004, may be obtained through the Federal Business Opportunities web site at www.fedbizopps.gov. It is the Offeror?s responsibility to monitor this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments, if any. All Contractors interested in receiving notification of updates/amendments to the solicitation posted are urged to enroll on the web site mailing list for this acquisition. Those Contractors enrolled will be notified automatically of any changes made to the RFP through their e-mail addresses. No telephone or fax RFP requests will be accepted. *****
