Description

Replace all bearings, seals and o-rings. Micrometer measure all shafts and insure they are within manufacture specs. Feed zone and conveyor ports should be checked and repaired if necessary. Replace all greases fittings. Perform 6-hour operational test. Dismantle, clean, inspect and advise in writing any additional maintenance required to the government. The Contractor shall manage the total work effort associated with the project to Transport, Dismantle, Inspect and Perform Preventive Maintenance to two (2) Humboldt Rotating Assemblies, Model S1-11 #5474 and #5475, Serial Numbers P222 and P223 repsectively, located in Building 659, at the Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA. Solicitation will be posted to the ESOL website on 26 July 2004 at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil/. No facsimile bids will be accepted. All inquiries in regards to the solicitation must be sent in writing to BrackettLK@efaches.navfac.navy.mil. Bid Opening Date will be 20 August 2004 at 2:OO PM at the Officer in Charge of Construction, Marine Corps Base, Building 2004, Barnett Avenue, Mann Hall, P O Box 1855, Quantico, VA 22134-0855. There will be a one time site visit on 28 July 2004 at 0900. Please meet a Building 2004 in the Large Conference Room.
