- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA intends to procure on a full and open competition basis a complete rack mounted LINUX Cluster Computer system. This includes CPU?s, memory, disk, node interconnects, all necessary cables and power cords, system software and service/support. Manufacturing process and standards adhere to ISO 9002. The master node will be made up of: Dual AMD Operton 248 processors, Hot Swap power supply, 4GB RAM, up to 16 disk drives on 2 SCSI channels, 1.1TB user RAID 5 volume, 52/32/52/16 IDE DVD/CD-RW, Scyld Beowulf Clustering Software (Current Release, Single System Image to user). The twenty-four nodes will be made up of: Dual AMD Operton 242 Processors, 2GB RAM, 1.44MB Floppy Drive, Scyld Beowulf Clustering Software (Current Release, PXE Boot). Additional items include: racks for installation of equipment, spare par ts kit (to include: two power supplies for Master node, one power supply for Compute node, one hard drive for RAID 5 volume, one RAID Controller, one motherboard for Master node, one motherboard for Compute node, two fans for Master node, four fans for Compute nodes), rack mounted UPS components, a three year full hardware warranty, one year Scyld software support with option to procure two additional years of Scyld software support in one year intervals. Delivery of this system is FOB Destination to the NAWCWD 30 days after award of the contract. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 20, 2004 and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency homepage at https://contracts.nawcws.navy.mil/rfp-nawc.htm. Award will be issued under the authority of the test program for commercial items (FAR 13.5). All responsible sources must be registered in the Central Con tractor Registration (CCR) Database.
