Description

Please Note: This project was originally posted under Presolicitation Notice HSFLR040021 which was deleted to correct the Presolicitation Number. This project includes the demolition and renovation work in and around an existing two-story dormitory structure. With the exception of the service area which receives no renovation, the entire facility will be vacant during all phases of construction. Included in this work is the demolition of existing interior CMU partitions, doors and frames, wall covering and adhesive, flooring, ceilings, HVAC systems and other associated utilities. The work also includes the removal, storage and reinstallation of the existing furniture. New work includes interior gypsum wallboard partitions, doors and frames, door hardware, electronic locks, room safes, wardrobe furniture, millwork, carpet, ceramic wall and floor tile, suspended acoustical and gypsum ceilings, new plumbing and fixtures, HVAC and controls, electrical and communication systems. The exterior of the building will receive a new concrete handicap ramp with aluminum railings, aluminum gutter and downspout system along with associated flashing and diverters, and existing windows will be caulked and sealed. New site work for the building and grounds will include asphalt patching, underground utility work, grading and sodding. There are three options that are separate from the base bid and will be considered additive options. Any and all incidental work to maintain building systems due to the Government not awarding an Option shall be part of the base bid. Option 1 - Lobby and Game Room: All Demolition, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing work within these areas are considered to be within this option. (If Option 3 is not awarded, dryers in the Laundry Room will be electric). Option 2 - Exterior drainage work: Includes downspouts and gutters, grading, sod, pressure washing and hose bibs. Option 3 - Gas line, water heater, room DDC controls: Includes demolition of chiller and cooling tower, water heaters, pumps and connections to dormitory, gas line, and DDC controls for the room HVAC units. The solicitation plans and specifications will be available on or about April 12, 2004 on the Fed Biz Opps website at www.eps.gov and on CD through the Contracting Officer at the Procurement Division.
