Description
The Bureau of Labor Statistics intends to award on a sole source basis under Simplified Acquisition Procedures with Council of Professional Associations on Federal Statistics (COPAFS), to plan and facilitate the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) 2004 Seminar, ?Achieving Statistical Quality in a Diverse and Changing Environment.? as a sole source provider for services NTE $10,000. COPAFS is viewed by a wide array of Federal Statistical Agencies, and other organizations involved in statistical research and policy development that affects national statistics, as the principal focal point for accessing and disseminating the views of the federal data community. COPAFS regularly coordinates efforts to plan and hold conferences and seminars dealing with issues of importance to the federal statistical community. The Statistical Policy Office of the OMB has requested that COPAFS facilitate in the funding and host its 2004 OMB Seminar. Including the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the conference is being supported by the Bureau of the Census, Bureau of Economic Analysis, Energy Information Administration, Bureau of Transportation Statistics, National Agricultural Statistics Service, National Center for Education Statistics, the Statistics of Income Division of the Internal Revenue Service, and the National Center for Health Statistics. Including the Bureau of Labor Statistics, support has come from the Bureau of the Census, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Energy Information Administration, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, the National Agricultural Statistics Service, the National Center for Education Statistics, the Statistics Income Division of Internal Revenue Service, and the Environmental Protection Agency.
