Description
Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with University of Washington for the office of Alaska Fisheries Science Center located in Seattle, WA. Purpose of proposed contract is to provide services as a fish identification trainer and specimen curator specialist. The contract is for one year plus two option years. University of Washington is the closest site and the only fish collection in the Seattle area with large pool of additional Northeast Pacific specimens that can be used for training observers in the National Marine Fisheries Services groundfish training programs. They have staff and assistants trained in specimen preservation techniques and safety precautions using preservatives ethanol and formalin. This notice may represent the only official notice. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.00.
