Description

The National Weather Service (NWS) is seeking to identify manufacturers of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Weather Radio (NWR) receivers. The NWR is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information direct from a nearby NWS office. NWR requires a special radio receiver capable of picking up the radio signal. NWS is seeking either domestic (United States) manufacturers, manufacturers that qualify as a ?designated country? as identified in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 25.003, or manufacturers that qualify under the Trade Agreements of FAR Part 25.4. Vendors responding to this synopsis are requested to identify the place of manufacture, and also include the availability of your product on any Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) vehicle(s) that you have including General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule Contract. The Government does not intent to award a contract on the basis of this notice, nor to otherwise pay for the information solicited. This is not a request for proposal but rather a vehicle for obtaining information.
